Women’s Health 10K: Run 10 Feed 10

Two posts in one week?! I know. But I couldn’t wait any longer to tell you about the race I ran this past weekend.

I haven’t run a long-distance race since my half-marathon back in the spring, so I’ve been looking for another challenge to take on. When I heard about the Women’s Health Run 10 Feed 10 race during Good Morning America one day, it sounded like the perfect event for me!

(Mis)Adventures in 5Ks

 

In my efforts to continue to prove that I do more than bake and eat what I bake, here’s another glimpse into my running life!

This week, I participated in the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge along with a group of other runners from my company. The race is a little more than a 5K–3.5 miles, to be exact–around the lake in Central Park.

My First Half-Marathon!

We interrupt your regularly scheduled food blogging for a post about another facet of my life–running!

I’ve been training for my first half marathon (13.1 miles) since before Christmas, and my race weekend finally arrived yesterday. I didn’t sleep much the night before since I was crazy nervous–I was excited and apprehensive and relieved that the day had come, all at the same time. I double and triple checked my bag before leaving my apartment–I was so paranoid I’d forget something like my running shoes and completely screw up the day.

Thankfully, that didn’t happen!
