[Don’t forget to see who won the Runa Tea giveaway–I announced the winner today!]
Have I mentioned lately how much I love bloggers? I. Love. Bloggers. It was like my Foodie Pen Pals match for April could read my mind…and I’ve been eating happily all month because of it!
The fabulous Courtney over at Little Food Court sent me a box of foodie love this month, and she made sure my chocolate and peanut butter cravings would be satisfied each and every day.
Treats from Justin’s Nut Butter were a big part of this month’s package–Courtney sent me tiny packs (perfect for sticking in my work lunch bag) of their Maple Almond Butter and Chocolate Hazelnut Butter, as well as the peanut butter cups in dark and milk chocolate.
These LUNA Protein bars are SO good. They run about 170 calories each, and they’re packed with protein and other nutrients like calcium and folic acid. Of the Cookie Dough and Chocolate Peanut Butter varieties, my favorite was definitely the Cookie Dough–it actually tasted like I was eating a gooey bar of chocolate-dipped raw cookie dough. Bliss!
Finally, Courtney sent me a bag of her favorite granola from Love Grown–Simply Oats–and a bag of caramel popcorn from the town where her family spends summers. I was so excited to have the opportunity to try something that is part of Courtney’s family memories–how awesome is that? Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness, Courtney!
My recipient wasn’t a blogger this month, but I hope Ashley liked all of the organic and grab-and-go snacks I sent to her!
So, have I convinced you yet that you absolutely need to join Foodie Pen Pals? Here’s some more detailed info:
–On the 5th of every month, you will receive your pen pal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your pen pal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need (like allergies or dietary restrictions).
–You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your pen pal!
–The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items, or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something handwritten. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
–You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
–Foodie Pen Pals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.
–Foodie Pen Pals is open to U.S. and Canadian residents. Please note, Canadian residents will be paired with other Canadians only.
If you’re interested in participating for May, please CLICK HERE to fill out the participation form and read the terms and conditions. You will also find contact information on that page for the UK branch of Foodie Pen Pals if you’re a blogger across the pond! You must submit your information by May 4th as pairings will be emailed on May 5th.
